I spent 3 hours mapping a small lake I fish from time to time. I only had a new micro SD card in the unit. Everything went well while on the lake and I ended up with a nice map. The next day I pulled up the map and on 1/3 of the map showed up. It was not the beginning or the end of the recording....it was the middle 1/3. The next day even the remaining 1/3 has disappeared.
Any ideas?
Hmmmm. I know last trip out mapping I forgot to stop the sonar when running at high speed and I was wondering ho that might affect my map. Was told to do that.

Never ever rely on live-mapping as your primary mapping, regardless of type of live-mapping, brand or model of unit. Always record a sonarlog as well, to improve on whatever your prefererred mapping is.
