carbon 12 will not import usr file it will only allow me to copy. this file is waypoints off an old hds gen 1 and seems like it may be an older version of usr . shows up on the unit with .lnk at end of file name. any thoughts ?

USR file extension is .USR, so that's not a USR.
.LNK is a "short-cut" file extension which is a Windows pointer to the actual file.
Seems you copied the "pointer" file instead of the actual file from a computer to your SD-card.
