How long before waxing new boat?

I know it's recommended to wait before waxing a freshly painted car. What is the recommendation of time on gel coat before you wax/seal it on a new boat?

When I get a new boat, I strip it immediately with water and Dawn dish soap, then apply two coats of Pro Tec sealant with a day between coats.

Before you start on your boat make sure you are all practiced up.
I will step up and allow you to hone your waxing skills on my boat and truck...

The product has a natural wax coating on it when it is demolded. It’s not like a paint that dries and is releasing solvents to harden, the gelcoat is a molecular cure and is hardened almost fully when pulled from the mold. There is a slight amount of release over time, though it’s extremely small.
