29 promax or 30 Bravo bow lift

I have a 21xdc ,250 pro xs sportmaster 1.75 running 1/2" below pad . with a 29 promax. i lowered the sporty trying to get more bow lift because of the heavy ultrex . 77 mph loaded at 5900 rpm. i know i could get about 3 more mph with a tm over a sporty at below pad , the sporty has only 200 hours on it so i like to keep it for now. would a 30 bravo have more bow lift than the promax ? and more mph.

That sporty is acting like a big plow at that height. If your set on keeping it, keep the bow and load as lite as possible . try it at about 3/4 to 1' above. The bravo will lift the whole boat better than the pmax but may not be any faster. Probably a bravo xs or one series in 27 to 28 pitch worked by Croxton for your boat. Reach out to Tim Powel "fastbass marine". I think he's local to you and is one of the best in setting a 21'10.

i think i need to sell or trade it for a TM . Paul Nicklos explained about running above pad with a 250 just can't lift a long boat with a heavy troller on the front end like it needs to.

That sporty will not let go of the water until you get 1-1.5 above pad and then the Pro Max will shine. Bravo will work lower but slip number are horrible.

I ran a Sporty with 1:62's on a 2004 21XDC with a 250XS, did great until I loaded it down, then it didn't want to get out of the hole, but it would run good

To answer part or your original question no a stock 30 bravo will not have more bow lift than the 29 promax. Any odd pitch bravo would, however, be better than an even pitch bravo in the bow lift dept. Mercury casts bravos even so the odd pitches have some cup added to them, hence more bow lift.
the promax props are opposite. Casted odd from merc. Evens are cupped.

I didn't know that about a promax, looks like i need to think about trading the sm off.

Yeah I know what you mean I just put Larance ghost on and lost a couple miles an hour on the top and I’m running a Yamaha SHO on a 21XD with a 29 bravo FS Prop it barely has enough left for the weight of the size of that motor. The new trolling motors are so large compared to the old ones but I wouldn’t trade it for anything it’s great
