I have a Minnkota Edge 70 ft. lb. trolling motor but want to use the Mega 360. If I understand correctly I can use the universal mount with a compatible Helix or Solix unit in spite of not have an Ultrex or Fortrex trolling motor, correct?

if using big motor, how fast can you go with he universal mount deployed over the gunwale and still get good returns
