    Ultrex issues

Hey guys, I'm having a hard time seeing my drop shot on my Live, seems like when I see it my line is under the boat, did I forget to install something?

Is the shaft perpendicular to the water. Could be looking behind or even in front of the boat.

Sounds like you need to adjust the angle of the transducer

I can say that the Ultrex is designed with a slight angle built into its shaft to keep pressure on the lower unit when it is stowed (poor design) this results in a slight reverse angle to it when it’s deployed

This is more pronounced on some boats like the tritons that already have a downward slope to the deck at the nose of the boat not sure about older rangers

You might need to angle the transducer up a couple of degrees to get a level look forward

But the more you turn the motor the more the transducer will angle up

You will have to play with it to find a happy medium

Another option is to put a wedge plate under the Ultrex to remove most or all of the angle caused by this design
