    USA 2000 Skeeter Zx195c /OX66 -200HP-need Prop Advice?

Need a recommendation on a prop to help with this set up-experiencing some porpoising at times..... am I better off with a three blade or four blade? Is a 25” T1 a solid choice for my set up? Is that a Yamaha prop ? Looking for some advice or suggestions on what other people have used?

I had the same issue and I believe a lot of skeeters are known for porpoising. I order a SS hydro foil from
CB marines (sponsor here), and it has helped a ton. I can cruise at under 30mph without any issues. Also when running at higher speeds it’s way more stable.

A 25T1 will fit, but a 25M is/was the stock prop on that boat, and is probably one of the best props for it. Porpoising, unless you're trying to stay on plane at super low speeds, is a driver issue. If you're trying to stay on plane at super low speeds, you'll need a 4 blade prop and/or a foil.

i have 1999 zx195c 200 ox66 vmax it was purposing like crazy! it has a B-foil on it, and rode like crap. (turning a 3 blade T 25" prop) it turned out the jackplate was set too low. raising the JP about 3 inches took care of 95 percent of purposing. now it rides a lot better. purposes a bit if I dont trim down as I slow down. play with your prop to pad height. My old bug was a 1993 175ZX running a 24" 4 blade, B foil, hyd JP. loved the way that boat handled. do you have a hyd jackplate?

I have a manual jack plate on it - turns out prop to pad measurement was 4.50” -I just dropped it to 3.5” -also just purchased a 25m prop for boat. Researching this subject fir this boat -several guys have indicated 3.50” is what you need. Have a se 300 planing fin on Yamaha. My boat mechanic looked at my old Prop recently and he said there’s almost no cup at all in the blades so that was not helping the situation at all. I’ll test drive in the spring and hoping for less porpoising.
