Carbs spitting fuel from inlet throat

    E60TLESM

Engine is spitting back fuel when engine is running and is bogging out when trying to accelerate.

Carbs have been cleaned and new inlet needles and seats have been installed. Floats are set correctly.

    Timing looks good. New plugs.

Reeds are good and all are seated in the block.

Oil side of the VRO has been disconnected.

Thinking of replacing fuel pump with non VRO pump in case it is sucking fuel from the pulse line.

    Any thoughts are welcome.

    Thanks,

    Dan

May have a bad reed. When running see if it has suction on the carb that is blowing gas out of it. Bad reed will gas it to blow out instead of sucking in.

    Check the reed gaskets also.

Easy check for that would be to pull the pulse line off and see if there is fuel in it. If there is you've got a leaking pump diaphragm. Hold a piece of paper over each carb and see if it gets sucked in that's a good test for reeds.
