    4 cylinder SHO prop diameter

I’ve read that the V6 SHO tends to work better with a larger diameter prop like the 15 1/8” T2. Is that true for the inline 4 cylinders (specifically 175) as well or do they spin a smaller diameter better? I know there a ton of variables involved but I was just wondering what y’all’s general opinions are for propping the smaller block SHO.

I think people say v6 SHO's work better with larger prop diameters because of the motor's torque. Larger diameter props inherently have more prop area. In my opinion, prop diameter is highly dependent on engine height and boat weight. Hard to say for sure what prop works best on a setup without testing.
