    ZX 200 prop advice

Running a 24 T1. Not getting enough rpms. Closest dealer has Merc props. What’s a good option? Thanks in advance. 200 SHO

This is my reply to another post in the "Yamaha" section if it helps you...Same motor, but older hull...Honest numbers: With 22" Razor 4 prop, I get 68mph at 6000rpm. With 24" FXP, I get 71mph at 5900rpm (a 23" FXP would be better setup). Both props at 2"ptp and just myself in boat, no talons, 15-20 gallons gas, 2 lithium trolling batteries.
By the way...the Razor 4 prop really "livened" up this boat, making it way more fun to drive...Although I lose a few mph from 3 blade, it's a better hole shot and does get to top end much quicker than the FXP.

I'm getting 5600 rpms with a similar setup. Is it realistic to expect a 6 mph increase in speed by dropping pitch in prop and getting to 6000 rpm? Probably not

So y’all think that 400 rpms will make a lot of difference ?

My ZX200 with an HPDI runs 60-61 at 5000 rpm and 65-66 at 5500, so yes, 400 rpm could add 4-5 mph.
