    Spot lock issues recently

A few weeks ago I did an update to my Ulterra. When using spot lock I used to be able to really hold position very well.

Last two outings I noticed I’m drifting all over the spot regardless of the compensation

    Even in calm conditions

Anyone else noticing this lately ?

Make sure the heading sensor has a blinking light about every 10 seconds, no light indicates it is non op, check the power to it

heading sensor only comes into play when you jog

The GPS antenna in the head is what keeps the motor in one location

I have only seen this a couple of times on mine

seems like the GPS is losing signal for a short time

I've had 3 different units with spot lock. seems they all have a seizure once in a while.
I fish down at the Texas Mexico border a lot and another lake that is close to a military base. Since it's so intermittent I've always figured it was from satellite signals.

    Garmin SpotLock

Has anyone else had issues with their Garmin trolling motor and the spotlock feature? It seems to have a mind of it's own and doesn't come close to working properly. It's almost like the "constant on" mode and the "fixed direction" feature override the spotlock setting. Also, does anyone know if there's an adjustment to the foot control to make it less sensitive?
