I read a guys article that talked about how he targeted limestone instead of round boulders. Can anyone shed some light on this? How do you identify limestone?

If you’re fishing shallow enough you can see it with your eyes. Otherwise graphing with side imaging you’ll over time acquire an eye to tell the difference. Your limestone you can pick up the fissures of them on your side imaging especially if you have it in a blue shade setting. It’s beneficial fishing these areas over boulders when baitfish (shiners, alewife, shad, etc) aren’t around because the fissures hold a lot of goby.
You can assume its all limestone in lake Erie. You wont be wrong much.
