    X18pfc performance with 150sho

Not much to be found on this boat and motor. The x18pfc is basically a x18pro, but a crappie version. It has a large livewell in the bow and double seats on the front deck.
I have a 2019 and bought it packaged with the 115 SHO. Top speed 1 person was 46mph, loaded and 2 ppl- 43mph, 2 adults loaded and a child 41mph.
    Repowered to a 150SHO, 6" Atlas hydraulic:
Ran a Laser 2 23p and it was way too small. No lift, 53mph empty and early against the rev limiter.
Found a new 24 Tempest. Now we are talking. I didnt have a second person but I filled the front and rear livewells and had full load. It liked 5" ptp (I guess the bow weight liked the extra bite) and slightly under full trim for max mph. RPMs ran 5600 with or without the livewells full. 56-58mph loaded with or without the livewells full. No chine walk and drove like a dream.
A 23Tempest would do fine on this boat but I'll keep this 24p.
I also ran a Scorpion 15 1/8x24. They say those props are stiff by 2 and it seemed to be. I could only turn it 5200 at 56mph. The boat chine walked and steeing was hard. I think a 21 Scorpion would have been an option.
Hope this helps someone wanting this boat with a 150. I couldn't find anything on it. Safe boating all.

Ran the boat with 2 adults and my grandson (about 520# total) and fully loaded this morning. 5400rpm and 55mph with the Tempest. Couldn't raise the jackplate a bump without losing bite. Going to lower the motor one hole and test it again.

You are so right about finding info on the 18'. Still waiting on my X 18 but as you said there is very little information on this boat with 150. Really thought you would see closer to 60 with 150 SHO. No problem deciding on what boat I wanted but propping one out is a pain. Thanks for sharing this.

All of my numbers were fully loaded: I have millennium spider rigs on all 4 corners, millennium rod holders, 16 jig poles, terrova on the bow, helix 7, helix 9, garmin 10", panoptics black box, anchor, umbrellas, three seats with poles and tackle. Take all that crap off the boat and it might run 62 or more... Hahahaha.

Seems like the 4 strokes are weaker compared to the two strokes overall, Based on what I have been reading on here. Especially the 115, and the 150s/ 175 4 cylinder.

I don’t feel there weaker at all. you just have to prop them to turn 6000 rpm or real close to see full potential.

I believe the pfc models have higher sides than the bass X18 and I would think the forward live well would hinder performance a little.

The 150 SHO needs to turn 6000 RPMs for best performance.
