    SHO Melting Hubs

Posting for a friend, but short of the long story is, put a SHO through a good bit of sand at the start of the year, Had his motor gone through, and melted the hub in the prop 3 times since then.

Shop is thinking that something is keeping water from cooling the exhaust port enough. Anyone even go through this and have thoughts on how to fix?

Many prop shops use the wrong replacement hub... I have seen this many times.

Also...If he hasn't checked it, there's a small scoop in the leading edge of the round anode on bottom of cav plate. It scoops in water and funnels it back down to the lower unit in front of the prop for cooling the hub. I guess you'd have to get a small hose into it and shoot some water thru to check??

Update - Shop found a blockage in the area that cools the exhaust in the midsection of the motor.
