    water pump/ impeller

need some advice on where to purchase water pump/impeller rebuild kit online. thinking about attempting this repair myself with a buddy. we are both ok with mechanical stuff. how hard of a project would this be? my motor is a 1985 200 mercury outboard. i think the model number of my engine is 1200725. love this forum, thanks guys.

I've done it once on my Opti and once on a 175 EFI I had. Not a big deal really. I'd buy the kit from Don Weed at European Marine who is a board sponsor.

I think Don will possibly give you a BBC discount. I've bought from boats.net in the past as well.

Don’t forget a dab of grease on stabbing the tube back in and the inside of the impeller housing so it doesn’t stick at startup.
