    New to Upper Bay

    Folks,

I was planning to fish the Upper Bay Flats weed beds on Saturday for the first time, launching at Port Deposit.

I see that there is a flood watch for the area today, so I'm concerned about all the rain forecasted for today; 2 to 3 inches of rain.

Does the Susquehanna dump a lot of "trash" (logs, trees, etc.) into the bay?

Do you think it will be safe, or should I wait until next weekend? (I run a 21 foot Xpress and will have to drive nearly 2.5 hours to fish the place.)

Thanks ahead of time for any advice/insights ya'all may have.

Forecast doesn't look bad leading up to Saturday. Sunday has a lightening bolt in the forecast. With heavy rain the Susquehanna does dump trash onto the flats. But I don't see a concerning amount of rain Friday and Saturday. Calling for storms today. If it looks bad you can always put in at Anchor Marine in the Northeast and you'd have the option to hit the flats, or bounce around in the Northeast River. Might wanna check the MD DNR site for tournament traffic the day you go.
