    98 Mercury 175EFI questions

    OG680230 serial number.

Does this fuel fitting supposed to have something connected to it? Its above the water/fuel separator filter. I am going to take it in for service anyway but was just curious.

Sometimes they have a 6-8 inch clear vinyl tube attached. It is a vent for the oil tank and I have seen some motors with no tube like yours.

Just an update........... took it in for service. Got the fuel line changed out. From the tank to the engine. It was from 2013. Plastic insert had deteriorated and was blocking fuel flow. They said I was lucky it was running at all. Cant wait to take it out this weekend. Im excited...
New fuel line is supposed to be ethanol resistant.
