    Fishing update

Last few trips (in the past couple weeks) were consisting of some dinks and few 3 and 4 pounders. Today panned out. Only caught a few today, but the two best were a 19.5” 3lbs 12oz and a 24.5” 10lbs 3.2oz. Makes my 12th double digit bass (ten 10’s and two 11’s.) pretty pumped up!

Thanks fellers! I’m just glad the bite is back! Been a tough year.

I run a small tournament on the Kanawha out of nitro on Sunday morning. Took 8 1/2 to win last week. Pretty decent for the river

The Kanawha and Ohio has been tough the last few years.

Spent 5 hrs yesterday fishing the Kanawha, had one 10" spot between 2 of us. I don't expect to catch one every cast but the fishing seems to be getting worse the past couple years.

Yes it has. I’m heading out on the river maybe next week or so. I’ll see how it goes.

The Ohio River is also one of the most polluted rivers in the U.S., according to the U.S. EPA. Its banks are highly populated and industrialized, and it's served as a dumping ground for local cities and industries for generations. https://www.pri.org/stories/2012-04-...-united-states

Yes, and has been for many years. At least the fishing above the Kanawha is somewhat better. That Kanawha river is a super pollutant!
