Question About to pull trigger - Which unit to buy and why

About to pull the trigger, so which one should I buy? Model, transducer and why.

Touch vs. Non-touch, but leaning towards touch as my other units that I run are touch as well.

It will not be used for 2d or side scan, only forward scan, not interested in perspective mode either.

    I have 2-Solix 12's with Mega 360.

IF you have mega 360 and Livescope, post a few pics of how you mounted the livescope if you did not mount it on the TM shaft.

My thoughts at the moment are Echomap Ultra 106sv with LVS32

    Thanks for you help.

Sounds like you already know what you want to buy. If mapping is not important to you with the Garmin unit, then get the 102sv and save a few hundred dollars.

Or you can save some more $$ and get the GPSMap 1022 which is the non-touch.
YOU are not entitled to what I have earned!!!!!

I just ordered the 102sv, awaiting arrival. More expensive than the 1022, but 102sv has touch screen, cradle for easy detachment and most important difference to me is a higher screen resolution. The 106 you are looking at I think comes with additional maps where the 102 only comes with basemap. I'm guessing you use your birds for gps/mapping anyway, so check out the 102.

Thank you and yes, use my birds for mapping, but never hurts to have another option. It is also my understanding that Garmin now owns Navionics, so my bet is that their mapping should be getting better.
