Up here in Canada, the MNR have exceptional powers. They can take your truck, your boat, your house, whatever you use to poach, they can grab, then throw a giant fine on top of it all. Great work on making the call.

    Good catch.

Guys on the local fishing site have posted that there are throw net poachers hitting some of the summer holding pools for smallies on the Housitanic river in in the Kent area. Calls were made but no info about anyone getting busted.

Do you suspect these people were selling the catch at big city fish markets? To keep it politically correct I'll stop typing.

WoW... Almost unbelievable that someone would do this in such a small pond and pretty much not worry about getting caught. Good job, Jerry......

Gill nets are legal here on the TN River. Actually help keep the trash fish in check if you ask me. But there is no place for them in small ponds.

I had to ping an address to give the F&G guy a location ... he didn’t know where the lake was and it’s one of three in the second largest city in the state... 4 officers cover the entire county said he was lucky he wasn’t over an hour away
