    2004 Pro XL OX66 with 26 Tempest

I know this has been discussed several times. I just put a new 26T on. Hole shot is ok. 3” PTP, 6” manual jp, WOT 65.4 GPS @ 5700 RPM. I already changed PTP to 2.5 but haven’t ran it yet. I seen others are running a similar setup but never really could figure out what their setups were. Bad choice in prop or what?

Fury is not a fast as a Tempest on a 201. Needs more bow lift than a Fury has. The 26 tempest is known to be iffy out of the box. The 25 and 27 or pretty good, but the 26 is inconsistent on pitch between blades.
I run a 27 Tempest and 27T1. Both will spin to 5900 rpm And 70.5 loaded with 2 Guys and the summer heat. . 73-76 with just me. I run anywhere from 3.5-3” ptp depending on load.
I have a 25T1 that I use when running creeks on the Ohio river For better hole shot. It turns 6100 @ 69mph.
I would have that prop checked by a good prop shop.

    That’s pretty fast. That’s 2% slip.
