    I never had problems with the guides on the St Croix's. They wouldn't last long enough before breaking!!

    I was done with them many years ago. They're possibly the most overrated rod company out there.

    Dobyns. Never had an issue other than a cap on the top of the cork coming off on my most DS used rod. A little superglue and problem fixed.

    between my wife and I we have 20+ St Croix rods (Legend Tournaments, Legend Xtreme, Legend Glass and Panfish). oldest rod is probably 7ish years old, have only had one guide insert come out and I just glued it back in no issues so far. Other than that I've only had to warranty 2 rods, an Xtreme because the reel seat broke free and a Tournament because the tip got broken, and both times was hassle free.
