    Too Much Prop?

06 TR20X / 225 Pro xs/ 10 in Hyd JP (Bobs) .Went from a 25 Temp Plus to a 26 Trophy Plus due to the summer heat (100-108) and the plowing on hole shot. No holes plugged - Took to long to come up. Started plugging the vent holes two med and two small. Didn't come up well. Two small and two solid - Couldn't turn rpms. All small holes same RPM issue, after a good long time with JackPlate way up and playing with trim i could feel the engine spooling up. Top speed 69.5 @ 5600 RPM's but this 26 may be too big? I don't believe it' mechanical but to make sure I have a 25 Trophy was running good on. Any advise?

    26P Trophy IS Too much for a 225 HP ProXS. Try a 25P Bravo1 XS 2015-2020 edition

That's what i thought Savage, thank you. After looking at the Trophy i had on the floor my eye's thought it said 26 but it was a 25P. Bought the incorrect prop (26).

Try running the Trophy with all holes plugged solid. Savage if your saying a pro xs won't turn a 26" Trophy on his boat then I'm glad I don't have one. My 225 efi will spin one so high it shuts my motor off that's why I started running a 27" and it will turn that to the limiter.

The OP is only getting 5600 RPM. The Trophy used be the deal on older Tritons, but the Tempest Plus is best for all out speed and the Bravo1 is best for heavy loads and big water.

Boomer, guys typically have to drop 1 pitch when running with a gator/gorilla hull, due to the extra friction.
