2 In 1 Cast At Clinton!

    20200827_102442.jpg

I found a deep school at Clinton and immediately caught 2 keepers on back to back casts with a C-Rig. I could tell by the way that they bit that the school was really fired up and competitive, so I grabbed my deep crank rod and burned a Dredge 20 through the school just as fast as I could crank it and doubled up on the first cast!

For deep cranking (14' and over) I use an ALX Ikos Diver. For everything from square bills to medium (1-14') I use an ALX Ikos Hustler. The Diver is 7'9" and the Hustler is 7'.

No, I mostly use 15 lb flouro for deep cranking.

Great work as usual. Looking forward to a fall weekend down there with a buddy in October. Hopefully I can do that with a squarebill!

Might be going there in a couple weeks, where would you recommend to launch? Will any part of the lake be closed off\restricted by then?

Id probably launch at either the marina or West Side ramp. The portion above Dewitt will be closed for the season, but there is still plenty of water to fish and they usually bite pretty good in mid-late October.
