planning on a 2 day trip to chick middle of oct staying at blue water resort can anyone give me some pointers for where to fish for bass

Find the grass and you will find the fish. Plenty of grass where you will be. I would stay above the nuclear towers.
Lake will be halfway to winter pool, so you need a map card and pay attention to the channel markers. They are there for a reason.
FYI... B.A.S.S. is there October 16-19. They launch at Dayton and Blue Water is usually their staging area for take off.

There is also a team championship out of dayton Oct 21 and 22. Our practice starts the 16th. There will be around 300 boats.

Chick Grass, there are several grass matts out of Dayton on the upper end left side, some on the upper right shallow points and being caught punching and frogging but not a lot being caught as the bass are scattered. Several short fish caught right outside the grass line but nothing to write home about.

I fished down there 3 days - only consistent way I could catch them was on ledges- I pounded grass from 1 ft out to 7-8 ft and would randomly hit them, mainly schoolies
