    Dock shooting

    New to dock shooting, what length, action rod works best. I know a lot is personal preference.
    But any particular brand, length, or action you can recommend starting out ?

    While it is a personal preference. I like the 4' 9" dock shooter from Grizzly Jig Company.

    The main thing is to select a rid you are comfortable with and practice, practice practice.

    I for got the make of the rod. Had it from the late 80"s.
    Knock it over the boat, a few yrs back.
    It was a 5' 6" pistol grap. Good for doc's and over hang limb"s.

    I just got a 6' ACC Crappie Stix and I'm really liking it so far and it's very light weight.
