Anybody use lamiglas honey glass blanks??

I always liked the lamiglas honey glass blanks. Had one of the skeet Reese crankshaft rods and it was really nice. Was always gonna have a few 6 ft rods made with the honey blank. For topwaters and light crankbaits. Anybody use these blanks anymore??

I have a Skeet Yellow short rod that I use for top water and jerk baits. I have landed up to 7 pound bass on it with no problem. For an inexpensive rod with micro guides it has done its job well. It seems to have a lot of backbone for a short moderate action rod.
I would like to build a couple like it but if I can find them complete for $60.00 it would not be worth my time to build one. I had rather spend my time building a high end rod.

I have the Skeet Reese crankbait rod built on this blank that I use it for lipless and bigger square bills.

Do you know if they make an 8’ glass blank? Salt or fresh water, that would be good for cranking big plugs?

This one builds as one heck of a med/large crank rod as well as the best Chatterbait rod I ever Used. https://www.lamiglas.com/collections...30605655703601

And Spoonplugger is correct on the 841 honey blank, works just like the old Skeet Reese Lamiglas 705. Best med crainkbait rod ever.

Thanks for that link, TonkaCat. I’ve been wanting to find a blank I can build some boat rods for plugging Silver Salmon. I think this would probably be purrrrfectttt.

The 8 ft. blank is harder to sell, when shipping was restricted to 7 ft. 10 in. some years ago the cost of shipping one piece rods longer than that skyrocketed to the point some were spending more on shipping than on the product. I made my salmon rods for fishing big crankbaits on those blanks, the BMB 96 1E. Lamiglas does now have a new blank out short enough to pass the shipping limits for that job now and while they were at it they improved the glass and resins used also, the BSG 933, around $80 if I remember right. The HCCB935 mentioned above has been around maybe a decade and has a lot of users, both casting and trolling with them.

the Bt842m blanks were what I was thinking about. They look to be sold out. 7 ft. Was hoping to get a few of these cut down to 6 ft or 6-4.

My skeet Reese honey rod was really hard to put down. Big pay cut at USPS forced me to sell. Would really like that one back
