    Smile Bought myself a cobra

well i pulled the trigger on a '98 viper 188, quite the upgrade in speed compared to my little tin rig, cant wait to get some time on the water and get a better feel for this thing. Haven't been able to go over 55 from all the wake boat waves, but i think she will fly in the winter time.

I have a little hit list of things i want to upgrade, new rocker switches on the dash, new lid latches and gas struts in the rod lockers, a buff/polish and some new carpet would really bring this thing back to life.

    I love Cobras.
I live in Montreal, drove to Lexington South Carolina to buy my first one...18 hours each way
That one got smashed in a road accident 2 years ago...got insurance check..
Drove to Louisville Kentucky to buy my second one...15 hours each way
Hoping to find one in New York or Vermont if I need a third one some day...lol
    Nice boat, you'll love it!

Looks good. I went from a tin rig to a Cobra. My little tin would only do 45 and the Cobra would do 60, felt like I was flying.

Very nice and that metal flake green is a beautiful color. Best of luck in finding parts, and please let me know if you find the compartment lights anywhere, since I want to replace mine.

This is a 188 with a 200 optimax, it has a 24 pitch tempest and is on a 6 inch jack plate (i think), and i've only had it up to 56 but the last owner said it will go mid 60s before becoming scary from chine walking.
