    Thumbs Up Getting ready!!!

The end of the month is usually when I start counting the days down from a 100 to be ready with all the gear for the first trip on the ice. Still hard to believe the hot dry summer that we had and temperatures still in the high twenties, low thirties next week. Still a lot more open water fishing to do.

WIth this Covid there are going to be a lot of unhappy southern ice fishers that come up and fish Lake Winnipeg over winter unless they decide to open the border.

Well it isn't quite one of those manitoba greenbacks you showed me but i guess it is a start... They are very rare around here and I finally caught my first one ever on Sunday.
The hardwater will be here before you know it, and I'm all ready for it.....

Can’t wait either. I’d rather ice fish than bass fish honestly. I’ll probably end up making a few perch rods before ice in just to get ready. Unfortunately we still have about 4 months until the bigger lakes are locked up. But I anticipate on walking on water around mid December this year at a few mountain ponds
