Anybody know what kind of tubing it is?? Hard plastic or rubber or ?? Or what other application it's used in so I can find some in bulk. Thanks

Why not glue in after baking paint?

That's what I have always done. Just thought I would try cutting a step by molding in the weed guards when I pour them.

If your handy, I'd make my own from a wooden dowel pieces. Drill a 5/32 diameter hole into a dowel longer than the weed guard. Then use a larger drill just at the jig end to funnel the strands into the hole easier. Try and bake at a lower temp for longer.

I tried those before but my weed guards still got messed up. Even the lower temp longer. Hopefully you have better luck.

This is how I do it and it gets a better finished result. Jigs are easier to wire tie without the weedguard in place.
