What the title says, has anyone done it before? I see the bolts have the head in and the acorn nut out towards the transom. I guess Mercury thought it was a safety issue, if the nut came off the bolt wouldn't fall out..

Can you tilt it enough to remove them or do you have to take the midsection apart..

538 pages in my service manual and don't see it anywhere....

Can it be done sober or do I need to start drinking again
