    Time for big oil purchases?

BP looking good to get some more at 21.50

Well here we are a month later at it appears it was not in fact time for big oil. XOM trading near 36 and BP at 18. Well I guess you only loose if you sell. Been lowering my average on the way down.

I purchased chevron and shell for the dividend. Might be a year or so before they go up in price. But nine percent dividend with Exxon is looking pretty good!

The bigger pressure on big oil is the political climate and OPEC moves. I'm closely watching big oil as well over the next few months, but might execute a trade on OXY soon if it goes sub $10 again.

In 10 years I think it will be small oil. Tech is moving so fast. The cost of owning an electric vehicle is starting to match the cost of an ICE vehicle. And in a few years will be cheaper.

I got back into OXY at $9.90. Waiting to see if some of the others will move lower as well before the election.

I think it will be much longer than 10 years out. Electricity infrastructure needs too much work to support a huge fleet of electric vehicles and the infrastructure won't see major improvements in my lifetime. I'm betting on big oil in the near term. OPEC and others aren't going to live with sustained low oil prices.

I went all in on big oil long today.

BP, TOT, XOM, COP, E, and more OXY at $9.66. I have a good until cancelled order for more OXY at $9.00 if it decides to test the March low.

I also tried to buy Royal Dutch Shell and there was a $60 fee on it. I paid around $2.00 for E and maybe a similar fee for TOT, but I was shocked at the fee for RDSA. Any ideas on exactly why the big discrepancy? Is the currency difference that much?

Are you looking at those beaten down MLP's as well or are these just for trades?

I still have RVRA, waiting for a nice ROC, since they've sold some assets recently and promised ROC to shareholders. I'm also looking to get back into GLOP if it moves lower. I made a good bit on GLOP in early 2020. There may be other MLP's, but I pretty much have only followed these two.

Saw KMI which is giving out 8% divided, that's better than XOM and only 12 bucks per share.

I would never touch Kinder Morgan again. They might cut that dividend to 1% overnight and that $12 stock will drop to $6. I got hammered when they stopped the KMLP and gave me 2.4 shares of KMI for one share of KMLP, then dropped the dividend by 75% on KMI. The stock tanked. Rich Kinder doesn’t give one crap about share holders.

RVRA announced a $1.35 ROC per share yesterday. I went ahead and bought some more, since it is another week until ex date. I figure the ROC just about covers the cost of the share, so basically no risk at all and anything after this is gravy.....

Isn’t RVRA planning to dissolve entire company? After the $1.35 ROC, there may be another payout, but will stock have any value after dissolution of company?

I have never purchased stock in a company planning to dissolve, so I am trying to learn more.
