    Anyone done the Retirement Planning Today course?

    I received a mailer for the Retirement Planning Today course offered by Financial Educators Network. $49 for two 3hr sessions at a local college. Is this legit or just a sales pitch to recruit customers to a financial planner?

    I did something like that where we had several evening classes at a local college. I thought the instruction was well done, learned several things about social security and non traditional investments, and bonds which are not understood by a lot of people. Still have the handouts. Yes at the end the presenter pitched his financial services, but I did not feel pressured or go with him as I had already paid for the course.
    Just have the ability to say no if you are with a company 401K, or a Voya, Fidelity or Vanguard.
