Anybody stayed there recently? Curious if it is a dump or clean enough to stay 2 nights? Any input on Barmel or other places around Mcormick will be greatly appreciated. looking to spend a few days fishing Clarks Hill and possibly Russell first week or so in November.
Hickory Knob State park has rooms and cabins you can rent too.. Right on the lake.
Barmel looks like a rat hole every time i pass it. HIckory knob is nice.

Nice facility and they have a golf course if you play.
I've stayed at hickory knob for a bfl. Nice setup for a fishing trip getaway.
what I do with golf clubs would not be considered playing. Hacking would even be generous. Going to be a short 3 day trip. Fishing sun up to sun down. But once again thanks for the info it is very much appreciated.Originally Posted by ChampioNman
