    Helix or solix

Recently upgraded to a mega 360. In doing so I decided to upgrade both helix 12 on the bow. Have one helix 12 MDI g3n for the ultrex. Now debating on whether to get a Solix MDI g2 for the m360. Or upgrade one of the Helix 12s on The console to a MSI g3n and move a helix 12 MSI g2n to the bow for the ultrex and use the new helix 12 MDI g3n for the m360.
    thank you for input

Since you are already use to the Helix menu and settings I would stick with the Helix

Solix is a whole different animal with a much more complicated menu and settings

personally I think the helix menu is harder for me to make adjustments on. I like to be able to turn one dial to adjust sensitivityvity on the fly rather than have to go into a menu to do that. Just my opinion.

You don’t have to go into any menu to adjust sensitivity, simply press the plus or minus button to adjust up or down. I own both and the helix is much more user friendly.IMO

To me it comes down to the touch screen. I can't imagine not having touch screen on my fish finder. To me, that makes the Solix much easier to use.

With that said, If you are already used to the legacy menu systems, which the Helix has, then it would be the easier option for you.

Here are a few things to consider:

    1. Solix benefits over a Helix
      1. Customize your Views vs none
      2. 10 Hot key quick views vs 3 for Helix
      3. Export Menu Settings for backup
      4. Sharing of Maps, only have to buy one map card
      5. Touchscreen of course, that’s the obvious one.
      6. Easier to rename waypoints
      7. Quick keys to select waypoint icon and color
      8. Ability to change settings quickly with just a touch
      9. Can Scroll back in History and Mark waypoints after scanning
      10. Solix max 10,000 wpts vs Helix 2,500 wpts

Since he is looking to add a Solix to network with Helix he should know some of that doesn’t work

Solix can only share maps with another Solix
Solix Icons will show up as the default dot icon on a helix
Solix can hold 10,000 waypoints but if you have more than 1,000 your map/chart starts to slow down
