Never understood why anyone would pay money to go do that. It’s Ego, but anyone that hunts is just disgusted by it.

Shooting deer in a pen is like being a Marshall except they give you a gun.

Rather shoot a free range spike than a 250” high fence. Even if it’s a 10,000 acre high fence. It’s cattle at that point. Sorry Texas.

I have zero respect for anyone that shoots anything in a pen and calls it a hunt.

Never have thought those non typical freaks were desirable, I’d take a beautiful symmetrical 150 any day over that animal, but it’s his money and I ain’t mad at him. That animal was raised to make money...it’s just business. Too many places like that to count in Texas.

Not impressed. But wait a minute. You guys go "GA,GA" over Dan's Friday posts, and the "things" in those photos have mostly been altered.

Do you pet it before you kill it. why not just shoot it with a paint ball and make a replica

Sick, sick people that would want to do that. There has been a giant push the last 20 years for hunters to get their daughters and kids to go harvest giant pen raised whitetail bucks, it has knocked the bottom out of trophy hunting whitetail bucks forever. Who in the world needs a guide to go hunting anyway except for a wuoousie. Pitiful to say the least.

This is like shooting your dog in the back yard, mounting it, and having all your friends compliment you on it. What have you really accomplished by shooting a deer that has been raised and cared for just like the dog and then shot inside a pen with someone else telling you exactly where the deer will be? It's money buying something the person could never otherwise do.

I love deer hunting and hunting in general, but to me this isn't remotely close to hunting and does not impress me one bit. This type of hunting is almost always ego driven in my opinion. I bet he paid 100k to shoot that mutant of deer.

I am much more proud of my 152" 4x4 that I shot five miles from my house than that abomination. It's tough to get over 150" on a 4x4 since you lose one tine and one diameter per side as they consider 5 points per side. But, it's just a number.

High fence operations are about money, and the experience...not hunting...this place certainly has the the experience, and with bucks like this inside on the ground, they got plenty of cash flow....that's obvious...

I had a friend from Texas that used to complain about using dogs to deer hunt in Virginia was unfair to the deer.
