Question New Install ,,,What do I need ?

Running Lowrance as of now,,, Fixing to bite the bullet and go to Birds'
Plan to run a 15" solix at console and either a 12" Solix or Helix at the bow , with a 360 Mega

What will i need to network these two units ? ,, What do i need as far as transducers , in hull 2D, Transom and Trolling motor , heading sensors , GPS pucks ect

    Thanks

If you mix SOLIX and Helix you can only share waypoints.
If you get the same series you can share just about everything. Helix units don't share mapping.

Just need an Ethernet cable between the two SOLIX units if that is all you will be using. A Helix needs an Ethernet Adapter to connect an Ethernet cable to it.

The unit comes with a transom transducer that does all the sonar functions of that model. If you get current SI or DI units, you just need a trolling motor adapter to use the transom transducer on the trolling motor.

There are shoot-thru 2D pucks for all models. For a console SI unit you would do the shoot-thru (additional purchase) and a Y cable (additional purchase) to connect both the SI transducer and shoot-thru to the display.

The MEGA 360 is a Side Imaging transducer that rotates so it connects to Side Imaging circuits in the unit's transducer port. If you want more than that at the bow, you need another transducer that does 2D sonar or 2D/Down Imaging connected via 360 Y cable.

Humminbird's external GPS antennas are connected directly to and are powered by a display==no powered NMEA2000 network.
There is a GPS-only model and a combo GPS/Heading Sensor model.

If you have a point one it will work as heading sensor on the solixs

The reason I asked about the trolling motor is the shape of the Humminbird trolling motor adapter. It doesn't work well with smaller diameter motors like Motor Guide due to the radius of the mount.
