gps1222 transducer

Looking to add a 12 inch strictly for 2d and down. If I get a gpsmap1222 is anything else needed other than a gt34uhd-tm? Garmin has the most complicated options of any brand out there.

The GT34 is side and down, you would still need an additional 2d ducer with that particular one. Also to be specific, the 1222 would need the black box for sonar as that units does not have sonar capabilities with DIRECT connections...... Now the 1222xsv does have direct connection and just for 2d/down that would be the GT22. I am not sure as you would have to call Garmin or someone on here to verify, but possible the GT24 UHD ducer might work.


Once you understand the units and models, its fairly easy to understand them.
