    New Optimax oil

200 optimax 1B825447. I purchased some bulk optimax oil today from my local dealer. I noticed it was a lighter color and not as thick as the optimax oil I previously used. The dealer said it was reformulated because of the EPA. Have any of you noticed this and noticed any difference running this "new" formula of oil?
    Thanks

    Did you purchase "DFI" oil?

No "reformulation" due to the EPA has taken place. The oil may seem lighter (in thickness) due to temperatures.

I have an 04 Optimax I have always ran the brown DFI oil. Having trouble finding it near me. I see the synthetic blend everywhere....
    What are people doing?

I bought a gallon of bulk optimax oil at my local dealer. $22 a gal just looked lighter than usual and cheaper than the last time I bought it at $28 a gallon.

    DFI is a "synthetic blend".

Does Roseburg (what state?) have WalMart, West Marine, etc because Quicksilver DFI is the exact same product as Mercury DFI.

Mercury or Quicksilver DFI/Optimax oil. Most large retailers that carry Quicksilver products will carry some Quicksilver DFI oil.
