Posting for a buddy he has a 2010 L4 200hp verado .his ecm was bad he replaced it with a 2008 L4 ecm 200hp.when he tried to start it he gets a long beep and mercury command com .on smart craft gauges .any help appreciated he is on holidays and wants to fish .thank u

Very likely that he will have to have the engine location set, helm configured and control adapted. This is provided that the PCM and calibration he got is actually suitable for his engine serial number (there WERE some differences).
