Power pole strap alternatives
It looks like power pole makes a branded Velcro strap for securing poles while traveling. I found some Velcro straps online but don’t know which size to buy and is there really any difference? Anyone using one not bought from power pole?

Perry while a retaining strap around the pole may hold a PP together to stop accidental deployment, the violent shaking of the pole(s) while trailering is of more concern as it generates excessive wear on the joints/bushings. Same issue with PP covers.
By restraining the pole to the boat itself you can resolve both issues and increase the longevity of the pole(s). Use of stainless steel ratchet straps accomplishes this.
