    This summer has been terrible. Setting records as one of the hottest ever. And August is not changing...... Im hoping that we will get a change in the jet stream. California and the west needs rain to battle all the wildfires and we need some relief. No monsoon season to speak of. UGHHHH..

    FRIDAY TO 9 PM PDT /9 PM MST/ MONDAY...

    * WHAT...Dangerously hot conditions with temperatures 110-125

    * WHERE...Portions of northwest Arizona, southeast California
    and southern Nevada.

    * WHEN...From 11 AM PDT /11 AM MST/ Friday to 9 PM PDT /9 PM
    MST/ Monday.

    * IMPACTS...Extreme heat will significantly increase the
    potential for heat related illnesses, particularly for those
    working or participating in outdoor activities.

    * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...High temperatures of 110-115 expected for
    the Las Vegas Valley, Red Rock Canyon, Mesquite, Pahrump, and
    the Morongo Basin; 116-120 expected for the Colorado River

    Tarheel14, you are a better man than I am to live in that kind of heat. A few years ago I flew into Vegas from the Bay Area and walked out of the airport into 114 deg. heat, I almost passed out. The good news is the hotels and casinos are very well air conditioned and the drinks are ice cold.

    We're at our house at Lake Havasu City right now....It was 113 at 2, it went up from there. We have 2 ac units (4 ton and 3 ton) on the house and they are struggling right now... It's so hot I don't even want to get in the pool. My dogs are glued to the tile in the entry, and our baby is chilling in nothing but a diaper. It's freaking HOT

    Its winter here on the other side of the equator. Brrrrr!

    Today at my place, just outside Brisbane, in south east Queensland, its 11:30am and the temp is 22C (about 72F) and its sunny and magnificent.

    A typical winter’s day. As long as we dont get the cold westerlies blowing in from the central Australian deserts, we are happy campers.

    Doin’ it tough... LoL!
