    DieHard AGM battery?

Looking at getting some batteries for a boat and guy at Advanced Auto recommend the following.

    https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/...agm/12150552-P

He said it was a dual purpose battery.

Didn't Odyssey once make the Sears DieHard batteries?

I would like to go all Odyssey, but at $400 each that is pricey and $200 looks much better.

He said this was a good battery and it had decent specs.

What do you think about this battery? Does anyone know if this is made by Johnson Control or Odyssey the case from the pics looks like Johnson?

    Trust no one.
Read the specifications and warranty. That's actual. Not opinionated.
The Odyssey group 31 is the benchmark AGM with the X2 right there with it in terms of performance and warranty. Anything less than those two and your giving something up.

The Sears PM1 was made by Odyssey but that was years ago and no longer in place.

Looks like they would make a great trolling motor battery. May be a little lacking or right at the minimum recommendated cranking amps depending on what outboard you're running. That is a great price for a group 31 AGM, IMO.
