best way to align etec 200 to transport 250 mile sin a pickup? pics of what works?

is there an optimum way to cradle a 2005 etec 200 in a pickup for transit or any don'ts? the seller will place on a pallet and forklift into a pickup and is willing to frame up a cradle if i want it aligned a certain way.

i then need to drive it 250 miles home on a windy highway.

Have him put it in the pickup lower unit first so it will be easier for you to lift out of the bed when you get home. You'll be able to either fork it off or use the lift ring to get it off the truck. Have him remove both lower engine covers and the top cover before putting it on the pallet. A couple ratchet straps will work fine for securing it to the pallet.

The best way to ship the outboard is to mount it to a crate like they ship them from the factory, here's a pic of a G2 on the shipping crate.
Stop by you local dealer they may give you one to get rid of it.

All you will need is the base, the sides and top are not necessary.
