    Clear protectant adhesive film

I've seen some boats with a piece of clear protectant film in the splashwell to prevent the scratching/chafing from the rigging tube. I have found the 3M paint protection film they use on cars. Is this the same product used on boats?

I bought a roll on Amazon. The one I bought went on wet and was easy to use. I put it on a small area on the bow of the boat where I step and where the passenger rods touch on the side of the boat. It is hardly noticeable.

Would be good on boat trailer fenders. Boat rail next to the driver and passenger console.

You could do your whole boat! I do it in 2 places, The splash well, and I also put them where the rod locker carpet meets the console on my boat. The vibrations and rubbing of the carpet can scuff the clear coat over time.

I thought about the front edge of my fenders, but I have never done it.
