So I have a Skeeter zx225 with a Yamaha SHO 225 that has been flashed and runs great. It came with the standard 12 manual Slide Master jack plate with the factory settings 7 dots showing. Boat does everything I want and more. I just put an Atlas Hydraulic plate on and have never used one before. Questions are many but seat time will answer a lot. Starting tomorrow. 1. I had a dealer install the Atlas digital gauge. Goes from 0-20. What number would be equal to the manual jack plate setting that was awesome? 2. I assume the water pressure needs to be 15psi or a little higher when running wot? 3. I assume its ok on the Sho to run kinda hard with the motor low and tucked? 4.Fishing a night tourney on a really rough lake (boat waves) leave the motor down low and tucked to run rough water? Oh and lastly, why the 6 ruler on the plate itself? Not sure what its measuring quite honestly.
Thanks for your help. Up here in Northern Illinois its run 70+ in 4 of water on the Chain or Lake Geneva which is deep but rough with Cobalt wakes. Hence Hydraulic JP.
