    A good trailer tire?

Looking for a good quality boat trailer tire thats not gonna break the bank (st205/75/r14). Any recommendations? I've recently had 2 goodyear marathons blow the center piece of tread off like they were re caps. Also what psi are you guys running? 50? thanks.

Another vote for GY Endurance just make DANG sure the high pressure valve stem is used, these inflate to 65PSI.
As for the GY Marathons, look at trailer placard usually round trailer front, it will have the vin number, tire size and recommended
    tire pressure for those tires.

Endurance, sorry to say but marathons are either old or made over seas, good year figured it out and brought manufacturing back home.

I just got em through discount tire. They took two days to get em in, but they can get em. Mounted price $152 per tire, includes disposal

I concur with the Goodyear Endurance! Hard to find right now though. Check Tire Rack!

I like the endurance as they do ride better and i can run 70 without worrying about it, but I'm finding they are not lasting any longer than the chinese tow kings. I'm ready to change them out with 20k miles.

Yes, your trailer is wearing out also. I would have figured the first set of tires on on my new boat/trailer would have lasted the longest but they didn't. First set 20k (Carlisle) , second 20 k (endurance) , new shackles and bushings via "dexter wet bolts and shackles kit" and currently still rolling good healthy endurance tires at 25k.

i did push each set of tire beyond what I said, I said the mileage give or take a few hundred miles where tread life was safe, pushing them another 3-5k into they are super shot range isn't a fair comparison

I probably wouldn't buy off Amazon, but the tire that is pictured is the one we are suggesting, no clue what they will send you off that description

The product code is the same as on the GY site. I have purchased GY Endurance from Amazon and Walmart and they were all within 6 months of manufacture date. No problems at all. If on sale at one site probably the same price at the other site. Just check the product code if you suspect something is wrong.

Ended up buying from my local Pomps Tire store. $125/tire mounted and balanaced. And they're 215's, not 205's.
