    Tilt and Trim unit pins

    I have a small hammer drill that I can set to hammer only,do you think it will work to get the pins out?

    Those engines have spent time in salt water.....your gonna need a torch.

    Not crazy about that idea fire boats and outboards dont mix very well.I hope I just need to get the top pin out so I can change the motor I hope.I cant tell until I get the boat out of the water.

    I found something to replace my old trusty Knocker Loose at NAPA, called Ol' Rusty and it works pretty well. When you get the boat out of the water and tilted up, spray the heck out of the pin for a few days. Try to knock it out but as Elgin says you may need a torch. Having been spoiled working on fresh water motors gives you a new respect for the salt water techs, the torch is your best friend. Heat n beat.
