I had been wearing out the bass.... yesterday, to try to change things up I took all my bass tackle out the boat and brought only matrix shads, jigheads, vudu shrimp, and fresh shrimp..

still caught a dozen or so bass, 2 awesome flounders and 20 or so redfish..

Marshman, my friend and I was on my way to Toledo Bend to check out some
property he might buy and do some fishing.
We were in Eden Isle at the same guys second home.
He calls it a camp it really a nice house, to pick up his boat to take up to Toledo Bend.
We decided to stop by your place to invite you to cone fish with us all expenses paid as we had a place to stay up there.
You said,”man I don’t like bass fishing anymore.”
Now I see you turned into a red and flounder fishermen and gave up your bass fishing tackle. Lol!

Seriously, if we would have know where you live we would have stopped by to invite you with us to Toledo Bend.
We are not going back for a few weeks.
Yes, we caught larger solid bass just not the numbers that you can easily catch in the Chef Pass / marshes around Lake Borgne

I do keep my boat near Eden Isle at my friends place which he also has a boat launch at his place.
We do fish the Chef and lake Borgne area alot as it is easy to drive there without dragging the boat or dealing with a private launch.

40 to 50 bass is doable mixed with some redfish.
One canal a few weeks ago we caught and released 85 Redfish.
Next day we could not buy a bite.
