    Ranger trailer brake issues

My 2019 Ranger trail brakes seems to be a bit off. They give off a grinding noise when braking. They are not hot to the touch after travel.

I am wondering if I have brake pad delamination.

Is there a link to a reference doc that I could identify my brake pad replacement options or is my only option to call Ranger or my dealer?

even if this is a warranty item, I don’t want to the dealer to replace the pads that will just delaminate again....so I’d rather replace them with better pads.

Lastly is this an easy job? I can’t find any good diy vids ?

    any suggestions guys?

It’s no different than replacing the pads on a vehicle. Two bolts on the back side of the calipers, remove them and the caliper will slide off. I would do that and inspect the pads and discs so you’ll know what you have. If your trailer has the parking brake, there might be a problem with that.
